Becky Kong
Founder & Coach
Becky Kong began her journey in Chinese martial arts at the age of eight and has developed a strong professional background in Wushu training, competition, education, and coaching. She holds a master’s degree and has more than seven years of teaching experience. She is a National First-Class Athlete and National First-Class Wushu Referee in China and also holds a high school teaching certification.
In 2017, Becky represented Beijing at the National University Games. She graduated from Beijing Sport University in 2020 with a degree in Physical Education. She later continued her academic and professional development in the United States and earned a degree in Kinesiology from American Baptist University in 2022.
As the founder and head coach of BK Dragon Wushu Academy, Becky has developed a structured training system that combines professional Wushu methodology with individualized instruction. Her coaching focuses on strong fundamentals, proper technique, physical development, discipline, confidence, and long-term athletic growth. Training is adapted to each student’s age, ability, and individual goals, from first-time beginners to competitive athletes.
Under her leadership, BK Dragon Wushu Academy provides programs in competitive Wushu, traditional martial arts, weapons, youth physical development, competition preparation, adult Wushu, and Dragon & Lion Dance. The academy also works in partnership with the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center to expand access to professional martial arts education within the local community.
Beyond regular training, Becky actively creates opportunities for students to participate in martial arts competitions, cultural festivals, community events, and stage performances throughout Southern California. She believes that martial arts education should extend beyond technical skills, helping students develop confidence, discipline, perseverance, and character.
Through BK Dragon Wushu Academy, Becky is committed to building a professional platform where students can learn, compete, perform, and grow while introducing the strength, artistry, and cultural heritage of Chinese martial arts to a broader community in the United States.
Lareina Wang
Coach
Lareina Wang began training in Chinese martial arts at the age of seven. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Beijing Sport University, with a professional background in Sports Training and Traditional Chinese Sports. Her training and teaching experience spans Wushu, Tai Chi, FlowBall (Rouliball), and Dragon & Lion Dance.
Throughout her athletic career, Lareina has competed in numerous national and regional martial arts and traditional sports competitions in China, earning top placements, including a championship title at the China Rouliball Open. She holds a national athlete classification and professional qualifications including National First-Class Wushu Judge and First-Class Social Sports Instructor.
At BK Dragon Wushu Academy, Lareina teaches and supports program development across Wushu, sword, Tai Chi, FlowBall, Dragon & Lion Dance, and competition training. Her coaching emphasizes proper technique, coordination, body control, and progressive skill development, with training adapted to each student’s age, physical ability, and individual goals.
Beyond coaching, Lareina is the founder of FlowBall USA and is dedicated to developing and promoting FlowBall in the United States. Through classes, community programs, cultural performances, and competitions, she works to introduce the sport to a broader audience and create new opportunities for participation.
Lareina also maintains an active presence across social media platforms, using instructional videos, martial arts demonstrations, and digital content to share Wushu, FlowBall, and traditional Chinese sports with audiences beyond the classroom. Through modern digital platforms, she aims to make traditional sports more accessible, engaging, and relevant to a new generation.
Through professional training, community engagement, and digital outreach, Lareina is committed to creating more opportunities for youth and adult students to learn, compete, perform, and experience Chinese martial arts and traditional sports in the United States.
